Gary, I would have thought they did not get many Germans waving at them.

John, when Iris and I visited her mom in Germany in the early '90s we would always see the army vehicles on the autobahn with the Union Jack on the back and would wave. They probably thought we were German citizens but it didn't matter, at least they knew they were appreciated.
