Still waiting for the fire pit coping stones.
So I decided to start Phase II of the garden refurbishment.
I lifted nine very large and heavy concrete slabs.
But not until I built and painted my first raised bed.
I used some of the old bricks to build a border, then filled the void with gravel.
I had some old logs, so I put them in the raised bed.
I then put in a layer of semi-decomposed compost.
Then I added five large bags of compost, only to discover I will need about 20 more.
That can wait until the recycling centre reopens on Monday - it sells compost for £1 a bag.
You bring your own bag, and they don't care how big it is.
