and quiet, being so close to civilization !

Looks to be a deep lake. I found it on Google Earth and was pleasantly surprised to see that it appears to be a natural lake, not an impoundment. And that it goes for a long way. Looks like you're blessed with quite a few other lakes nearby as well.
