True colors

I think this is a female mallard showing off the beautiful colors in her wings. Interestingly, we didn’t see a single male mallard the day we were there.

Best to view in "Original" because other versions resized by Pbase are decidedly unsharp.

She’s giving you a good wing stretch. The males here are still in their molting phase so not yet colourful.
