What's a little more poop?

or potentially a lot more

if the geese stay

Saturday US COVID News

KMOV news

There was also lot more coronavirus news today, but it’s just too stressful for me to write any more.

We’ve NEVER had Canada geese in our yard before. This evening, we suddenly had well over 100!!! They were everywhere. That shocked me. They were also pooping all over the place where the wild deer have also been pooping and peeing recently. Hopefully, the geese don’t stay. The closest body of water is a small pond ¼ mile away. So I’m not sure why they were attracted to our yard.

As my husband says, it feels like we’re living in a National Park. When he came out to see what I was doing, there were 7 deer to the left of our patio, 40 geese straight ahead (the crowd had greatly thinned out from the original 100+), and 2 groundhogs to the right. Plus the normal assortment of squirrels and song birds.

I truly enjoy seeing the wildlife, but I don’t enjoy the poop that the deer & geese leave behind. Some deer carry disease. And geese are just plain messy. Very messy!!! However, the groundhogs are nice in that they maintain & use an underground bathroom chamber; plus unlike raccoons, they don’t carry a lot of disease that can be transferred from animals to pets & people.

I couldn't help laughing today when I see you being invaded by geese - you just can't win !!! Your field does look inviting !! Maybe the hawk will take on a goose or two ??

I wonder why so many decided to land in your yard, Liz. This is a large amount at one time!! V

Great shot of these visitors to your yard. Not so great what they all leave behind.
