This is a short but interesting paddle. It starts at McArthur Road at River Road at Riverain Park. It takes us past the Chinese and Russian Embassies in Ottawa. It ends where there are barricades across the water to prevent one from going over the Rideau Falls. Good to have the barricades. It is also the location of the old City Hall of Ottawa. A beautiful location.

Where we put in is quite shallow and you have to watch for big rocks. That is only a short distance however.

We saw a whole lot of Canada Geese and a few ducks.
