Hurricane Laura is going to strike tonight. Looks like Lake Charles will be its target. For us here in Houston, it is far enough away and we are on the west side so the hurricane will hardly be felt here. Nonetheless, we must be careful to prepare for any eventuality. With that in mind I filled the car with gas and made my customary pre-hurricane visit to the liquor store. Can never be too careful.

p.s. The hurricane did as predicted and we got no rain and really no wind. A real nothingburger for us. However, Southern Louisiana got hammered. Just like in real estate, location, location, location.
