Very Large Moth

Lake Frederick, Virginia

While hiking the NW shoreline of Lake Frederick, came across this huge (larger than my hand) moth struggling to get airborn about 40 yards off shore. Took several images
and was hoping he was going to be successful, but I think he exhausted himself. I'm surprised a largemouth bass didn't get him.
Might be a Antheraea polyphemus (giant silk moth).
