We have planted several tamaracks throughout the property. There were no tamaracks when we purchased the property in 2006. All of these trees came from good friends Joanne & Barry Playford from Oliphant/London. Joanne & I met while teaching at Fanshawe College in 1975. We renewed our friendship the year that the Piping Plovers nested in Oliphant. The Tamaracks are 'volunteers' from their property. The Playfords chose not to mow a section of their lawn each year to see what 'came up'.
