I headed out to the airport and arrived there about 7:00 am, my usual time. First step was to turn on the air conditioner in the office. It was going to be another hot, humid Houston day. After pushing airplanes around for a little bit, I got my Cessna 170B out on the ramp. The intention was to fly about in the pattern for a bit and practice my landings. And that is what I did. I had my trusty iPhone and ForeFlight EFB along for the ride. One of the features of ForeFlight is the ability to track your flight for later reference. I like it because it gives you the elapsed time so when I put the flight in the log book, I have the right data. It also records your ground track. Today I did three take offs and landings. You can see the flight path and speed and altitude profiles in the attached screen grab. Pretty cool. I am easily amused.
