Church square, Ootmarsum

Ootmarsum is an artists village, hence the statues. The house is a middle class house. It consists of two parts, probably due to remodelling. The facade is clearly meant to be imposing. Probably 19th century.

In these towns houses were smaller than in the cities, and the agricultural origins made it easier to live in the centre.
