IC 1284, NGC 6589, NGC 6590 (Annotated version)

This beautiful nebula complex comprises emission and reflection nebulae and lies about 5900 light years away. It sits within a very dusty part of the southern Milky Way in Sagittarius. Consequently, there's barely any background sky visible in this image behind the dust & gas.
