Short Star Trails Experiment

94 frames @ 30 seconds each, stacked to comprise a 47 minute total exposure, not counting a 2 second interval between frames.
I used Starstax to process the images and checked the comet feature to enhance the trails a bit.

I intended a larger number of frames but my batteries had other ideas after some prior extended shooting.
Comet Neowise was up there to the left but was very faint and not visible after processing.
The white star center is, of course, Polaris.

other sizes: small medium large original auto

Amazing! Kind of makes me think of the way Van Gogh painted stars, same look. Interesting experiment.

Spectacular! I always wondered how that was done... now I know, though I'll probably never try it!
