To get to St. Bega's Church, we had to cross the properties of at least 3 different owners.
Each had their lands fenced off ... but as it is traditional, the gates are not locked and
entry to the next plot is not restricted.
Bassenthwaite is located in England, specifically in the county of Cumbria,
within the Lake District National Park. It is known for its lake, Bassenthwaite Lake,
which is the northernmost and only official lake in the Lake District.
