Little Brown Cub

Yellowstone Bear World, Idaho

This cub is raised in captivity - in Idaho at Yellowstone Bear World.
Our visit there was one of the highlights of our trip in spite of the poor weather!
Only about 45 minutes from West Yellowstone - the west entrance to Yellowstone NP.

I did get to pet one about this size once. It was at a wildlife safari place in Bandon, Oregon. They had it up on a large flat tree stump and were feeding it a bottle. The line of people could take turns petting it (not on the head) until it finished the bottle - and then NO more petting! ;) Not really as soft as you'd think. Laura
