It's that time of the year to freeze fresh strawberries and make strawberry jam and strawberry pies for the coming winter months. They freeze really well and come January/February, it's nice to have fresh strawberries. In the local food supermarkets, in the Winter months, our strawberries come from either California, Mexico or Chili ... they are BIG but tasteless, not juicy at all, they just have the look, not even worth buying!
