How A-peeling

Three years ago today I had a 5 way heart bi-pass
and they cleaned out my Carotid Artery
I call it my “Quint + 1”.
Woke up this morning feeling very alive!
Went out to the garden to pick breakfast.
Thinned out some dill, carrots, green garlic.
Harvested some beet greens and chard.
Chopped and mixed with
steel cut oats cooked in Veggie broth.
Peeled a garlic head I harvested
last week to put on top.
Ate breakfast with my best friend
and felt very blessed!
Enjoy the good days.
Endure the bad ones
and either way,
just be glad
to be alive.

Some days it’s hard to say this and
most days it isn’t but every day is a bonus!
(chop wood, carry water)

Mmmm mmmm - looks and sounds so good - your garlic looks wonderful - ready already !! I'll add to your commentary - enjoy those meals with your best friend - eating alone is lonely :( V

In my opinion the beauty of life is hidden in little and simple things and the trick is to see and enjoy them.... I think you do! Fine image and message John! V

A very upbeat and positive message. Nicely composed image to go along with it. Every day lived is indeed a blessing for us all.
