Poppy Pandemic

Kilconquhar, Fife, Scotland

I was actually travelling to a wedding a few years back when I took this series of shots of quite frankly the most dazzling display of poppies I have ever witnessed in Scotland. I think though what made it even more magical was the inclusion of the little white daisies trying to have their say, all beneath a heavy grey shadowless sky and the impending thunderstorm that very shortly after ravaged the scene. One final pleasing aside, the colour in the original Velvia transparency is every bit as vibrant and dazzling as it was when it was taken nearly 12 years ago!
