Bellwort In Snow

Sessile-leaved bellwort, aka Wild Oats, a bit under the weather today but plucky little wildflowers they are.

Distilling this down to the simple beauty really makes an impactful work!
This is very special.

Snow in May is something of a shock but it sure makes for a beautiful photo. Love the mix of white and pops of color from the emerging plant. V.

Nice one Kevin the weather people were warning us that snow was possible .
Hard to dispute when you post a lovely shot of snow covered leaf.
Nice high key image and exposure handled with care.

Its been a cold spring, we've had snow flurries and sleet but nothing sticking to the ground. These native plants are used to the vagaries of weather and will survive I hope! This is a lovely shot depicting this changeable season. V

I imagine they acclimate as all who live I New England. A crusty bunch.
