Female Rose-breasted Grosbeak

(Pheucticus ludovicianus)

Beckwith Township, ON

Bit by bit, new species are returning to Beckwith.

Nice to see the Grosbeaks back. The background is my lawn (good thing the dandelions aren't showing).

Unfortunately, the male has not been as cooperative as this female.

I'll keep trying.....

You are right Doug. Nice to see many starting to return.. Excellent sharp shot of this female in a good back-looking pose and against a super background.
