Tonto Basin / Roosevelt Lake

Gila County, Arizona

I took a long motorcycle day-trip up to the Mogollon Rim in central Arizona with a couple of buddies.
We rode through some fantastic scenery with this spot overlooking the Tonto Basin and Roosevelt
Lake as being one of my favorites. An animation of the route taken and some more pics can be found here:

Great area, if you haven't already, consider heading west from the lake into the Superstition Wilderness. Remote dirt roads and some spectacular views...and you end up at the Superstition Mountains!
