Went to the airport for the day to work on my airplane and hang out with Bloke and Rodney. They are both United Airlines captains. They are not flying jets these days. They have plenty of time on their hands to fool around at the hangar. For the last couple months, the airport has been undergoing a refurbishment. I mentioned the other day that it seems all the pavement markings have been finished. Today the crew was laying sod along the sides of the runways and taxiways. It looks like the airport will be opened completely very soon. One side note is that a thunderstorm passed through and the crew kept working. I think that was a dangerous thing to do with lightening all around the field. just sayin'
