Beckwith Township, ON

Late yesterday afternoon I heard a tapping at the back of my house. It was this "acoustic artist" trying out different bits of wood looking for that perfect sound to call a mate!

I was able to gently open the patio door; and then slide open the screen door just enough to get my lens out without spooking him.

Too much lens; but a great (I think) close up.



I like the pose in the second image, but it does not display his colours as dramatically as the top image.
