Interstate 40, New Mexico

We followed surviving pieces of the original highway a few times, in this case between Tucumcari and Cuervo. I-40 can be seen on the right.

I've been parts of Rt 66, but so long ago I can't recall which parts. However, it was a thrill be on that iconic route! Your shot captures what the old road would have been like when people were getting their kicks on rte 66. VV
