It's very old. It belonged to my grandmother and when she died my mother dug it up and put it in a big container with her mothers Oxalis (purple shamrock). There are two Amaryllis in the big pot. One striped and one a brilliant red. The purple iron colored Oxalis blooms beneath the tall stalks. My mother gave it to me because at the time I had no flowers and I think it made her sad to look at it. I love it and look forward to the blooms all year long. The oxalis makes me think of my Mimi drinking tea in the morning and looking out the window.
