Time for a Trim

At Home in Sugar Land, Texas

Covid or not, the Gulf Hurricane Season will be starting soon. The power company sent tree trimmers to our back lot today.
Our Live Oak tree got a bad haircut on one side.
Photo taken through my window.

Great shot of this important work, even if he gave the tree a bad haircut. V.

Definitely a critical job to keep going with. We have to balance risks even at a time like this.

sounds extreme as trims go, but then many haircuts are bad...hopefully your place is safer without problematic branches overhead..

Fingers crossed your trees will be ok. We lost two huge branches of the blue cedar in the high wind earlier in March, fortunately no damage was done. Our local tree man came Saturday and took four trailer loads away and will return in the summer to try and stabilise the tree. Cedars like this one at 100+years old are rare.

Cool shot of this tree trimmer in action. Hopefully you won't get any bad hurricanes. We had a 4.9 earthquake not far away the day before yesterday.
