This trestle bridge is constructed of wood in the 1890s and is the largest span wood trestle bridge in the southern hemisphere.
Trees cleared from either side to reduce possibility of fire damage to this structure. It was damaged in 1983 by fire and replacement wood beams can be seen. Retained for historical significance
Now unused as a railway bridge it is part of the East Gippsland rail trail for cycle or walk from Bainsdale to Nowa Nowa.
It is deemed no longer safe to walk on so a footpath has been made along side the bridge
