This is really what we did today. Ginny decided that the lawn needs to mowed. The grass wasn't long, but it is easier to pick up the leaves with the mower rather than a rake. The Cross household procedure is fixed in stone. I do all the edge trimming and then clean the cement areas with a leaf blower. Ginny operates the mower. I would be happy to do it, but she is afraid I might screw it up (???). Actually, she likes to get the exercise.
Ginny's garden is a continual work in progress. She works in it quite a bit. A couple days ago she decided to transplant a couple things that looked like weeds to me. I am told they are Salvia. She has a little garden area next to her compost pile. It is sort of a holding pen for things that don't fit in her main garden area. Anyway, it was supposed to rain a lot the day she transplanted them. It didn't rain at all. So after the mowing job was finished she got out the hose and applied an effective amount of water. The plants perked up right away. The peasants rejoiced and peace returned to the realm.
