Bert was a good mate to all - come reunion times when he would turn up dressed as above photo, be arrested due to his rifle etc; then the police would phone and I would have to go and vouch for him and that his rifle was inactive then bring/deliver him to the site – in real life he worked for ITN news and at his funeral several newsreaders turned up including Sir Trevor McDonald
