Eucalyptus capsules

I was able to photograph these a few weeks ago, along with the Banksia 'cone'. Seedpods (if indeed this is the correct term for these ones) are fascinating. Thanks to Don Franklin https://pbase.com/donfranklin) I now know the correct term is capsules.

I thought I recognised these from the thumbnail. I feel at home. (Technically they're 'capsules' not 'pods')

Very Australian. Yvonne has explained. We see them everywhere following the beautiful eucalyptus blossoms. Your pair have the lovely white dusting they develop, V
