Our dishwasher bit the dust January 5th. As I mentioned at the time, we decided to get a new one and did so. Unfortunately, the new model wasn't to be installed until January 25th. In the interim I was the dishwasher and I managed to keep up with the task. Then we were informed that it would be delayed until February 8th, today. It made me a little nervous because we were having four friends over for a party in the afternoon. I really wanted that thing installed. Sure enough, Luis and his helper arrived about 10:30 and within an hour or so the old one was out and the new one was installed. We ran a short cycle with soap to make sure it was clean. After the party we loaded it up and it worked flawlessly.

Since our water leak disaster a couple years ago, we have replaced every major appliance in the house. It is cool to have new stuff, especially new stuff that works very well.

One more thing, Ginny talked to the people at Best Buy and told them we should be compensated for the long delays involved. I figured that wouldn't work, but sure enugh, they agreed to a fifty dollar rebate. Good job Ginny.
