RED

While we ate brunch and just before another downpour...four thunderstorms yesterday and they're not done yet. I might point out until 2 weeks ago this small rural town like so many were out of drinking water and it was being trucked in at an enormous cost...now they have all they need. Nature, not humans takes care of itself.

RED YELLOW BLUE GREEN and 1 of your choice

This warm glow was taken a few years back for a February Challenge 2013

I can hear the cling-clang of the windmill thing from here!

Terrific composition, Laine. V.

Both are marvelous images and great to know your water problem is over...V

Both pictures are interesting and your story about the rain, before and after, is a happy one. It brings home the relief and blessing when it finally falls, often in huge storms and downpours like yours! We even had HAILSTONES as big as golf balls in Melbourne at one stage!

Wonderful to hear the water is no longer
a problem. The balancing act of nature
is miraculous!

Super connection between the red of the umbrella and the windmillin the background...love this shot!

Nicely composed image.
So true about nature taking of itself as we clearly cant.

The red umbrella is wonderful it is keeping you dry while mother nature delivers the much needed water,
I hope this water event takes place in the fire ridden section of your country.
Vote for the image and the rain.

Very pleased to hear the lack of water has eased, too much in some areas I believe.
Your second image is warm and comforting.
(We are now being threatened by Storm Dennis this weekend!)

That is a lot of thunderstorms in one day, Laine. In the U.K. storm Ciara has made a lot of damage and flooding in a lot of areas including Ambleside in Cumbria. Some houses have had water almost up to their roofs! Hope yours passes soon. V

Happy to learn that these cities no longer need to be supplied with water!
I love the warm glow of the second image! V

Amazing lot of rain you're having... and the top photo is a common sight from
the past when new settlers, farmers tried to find and bring up water from the
depths of the earth. Love your second image too. v

Just remember this day when the next drought hits.

rain is always good, but four thunderstoms in one day looks a bit too much.V.

I like the way you have composed this shot. After a drought, rain is such a relief and a blessing, a renewal of the earth. Gorgeous shots, both of them. V
