During our visit to the Paton Center for Hummingbirds in Patagonia, Arizona we spent some time watching several Gambel’s Quail. They didn’t make it easy for us to get photos, they are quite adept at hiding in the weeds, but I did manage a couple of photos. Isn’t this a beautiful species? I love all the intricate patterns, so much to look at and enjoy.
