Two images of the Hawk Owl with a vole and preparing to cache it.

Top image: With the vole secured in its right talons, the owl seems to be preparing a spot/cavity on the far side of the tree in which to place its catch.


The vole is now partially placed in the cavity with only its tail still visible just below the branch.
