The Spanish Steps

Rome, Italy

The first time I visited Rome in 1968, there were lots of people lounging on the steps. That is no longer allowed.
The last time I was in Rome, the steps were closed. There was a fence across the bottom.
Now the crowds are back, even if they can't sit down!

Great image showing these amazing steps I guess they figure the steps are for getting up and down and do not want people dodging as they go up and down.
You saw this in a very nice way and information is interesting.

Great capture of the famous steps. Seems like the authorities can't decide what to do with them. V.
