Someone shared the location of this great gray owl with me, located near Ottawa. It's been a great winter so far with 3 northern hawk owls and the first great gray owl of the season.

Photographed late Sunday, January 26, 2020. The owl was actively hunting when I arrived. I didn't know where it was at first but then it flew in on the left.
