During the regular season I rarely watch an NFL football game. I don't keep up with the standings and I don't know many players. When the playoffs start I start watching. Each game has consequences. One team wins and the other team gets to watch the rest of the playoffs on TV.

I found myself on the horns of a dilemma today. The Texans were playing in a Wild Card game. Should I watch it? You might remember when the Astros were in the World Series I was concerned that watching it on TV might jinx them. Anyway I decided to watch the game. The Texans did poorly in the first half and as the second half started, I was about to turn it off when J.J. Watt made an outstanding tackle and that play seemed to rub off on the rest of the team. So I kept watching and sure enough the Texans pulled it out and were victorious. Maybe if I don't watch I will jinx them? Regardless I will be watching next Sunday when they take on the Chiefs.
