After returning to Green Park from Baker St via the tube, we hopped onto an open top bus to do some high speed sight seeing. Needless to say it started raining. Would I recommend these tours? If it's your first time in London you can get some decent value out of them to get you around the most popular spots relatively quickly. You need to be aware of the routes that they cover and what you can and can't get to. Similarly the Paris ones cover a lot of the city. The Rome ones not so much because of the narrow streets. The Turin ones cover a lot of ground but are very infrequent. It's very much a city to city call.

And, of course, you need to have time to get off the bus and look around, which was in short supply for us.

Essentially our route took us down to the end of Piccadilly, up Park Lane, back down it (and the real life hotels up there are every bit as expensive as the Monopoly ones), back up Piccadilly, through Piccadilly Circus, then on to Trafalgar Square which was the most target rich environment in terms of bucket list things in London that I could think of.
