Photo taken in one of the windbreaks capturing a melaleuca in flower (white brushes).
We planted all of these trees & shrubs 40 years ago to give us privacy and ease off
winds from that direction. It runs along the fenceline to a holding paddock where
Dick built a round-yard for exercising his horses back in the days when he still
went for horse rides. We no longer own a horse, but next doors have 4 and they use
our paddocks to help keep the grasses at a safe level before the fire seasons arrive.
To the left of the picture is the trunk of a self-sown eucalyptus tree where koalas
often spend some time.
