Cast iron artist-designed access covers reflecting city's Cultural Heritage.
Richmond’s beginnings as a First Nations fishing camp is the theme of artist Susan Pearson’s artwork.Encircling the design is the cedar tree, from
which First Nations peoples made their canoes, and cedar tree bark, from which they made their nets and ropes.
There were 4 winners from the original 150 entry contest., since then, more designs have been added.

fancy for a manhole cover....it looks so good...cool to see the salmon too, so important to First Nations people..
