Schelde at Griete(Netherlands)

At this spot in 1807 Napoleon had the intention to construct a marine arsenal.
But to protect the future construction first a coastal battery was needed.This is one of those guns.
The spot is the Margeriet(hence Griete)polder.
Behind the dike the remains of the excavations now serve as a drinking place for cattle.

Not sure about the colour, but there's certainly some history there.
