In 1913 The U.S army stopped patrolling the Yosemite Park area.
Local scouts were hired to assume the job and cabins like this one were built for them.
Originally this log cabin as many other cabins were built in other parts of the Park area.
In the 1960s these historic buildings were re-located to into one cluster here, the Pioneer History Center..
