Question of the day: Did Yorkshire Terriers 🐶 originate in Yorkshire?
Saturday was fabulous!!! We had the pleasure of meeting Pbaser, Colin Story and his wife, Julie. Colin gave us the grand tour of the ancient, medieval city. We were fortunate to have the weather cooperate with sun & clouds!
York is filled with many secret passageways referred to as snickelways. There were many charming shops & a large open air market to temp us! We walked along the walls with magnificent views of the city.
Seeing the York Minster from the wall is breathtaking! Since the 7th century, the Minster has been at the centre of Christianity in the north of England and today remains a thriving church rooted in the daily offering of worship and prayer. We were treated to a free concert inside Minster as the choir rehearsed for the evening’s show.
The Multangular Tower is the best example of standing Roman remains in York and is situated within the York Museum Gardens.
We had a delightful lunch with Colin & Julie at a yummy French Bistro, Rustique.
