Prairie Creek Redwoods State Park (part of Redwoods National Park) is normally a great place to see Roosevelt Elk. However, this trip we did not see any, so I took a photo of this metal elk near the Visitor Center! My wife's sister & husband came up from further south in California and saw elk both on their way to meet us in Crescent City, and again on their way home. So apparently they were hanging out further south in the park on the day we were there.
