SS Minnedosa

A ship with an interesting history
The SS Minnedosa was originally ordered by the German Hamburg America Line in 1913, because off WW1 she was sold to the Canadian Pacific Shipping Line when launched in 1917.
She was initially used as a troop ship bringing Canadian soldier home at the end of WW1 then operated as a passenger liner on the Atlantic routes.
In 1935 she was sold as scrap to the Italian government who converted her to a troop ship. In 1942 she was torpedoed and damaged by a British Submarine, she was the towed to Messina in Sicily. She was scuttled by the Germans when they evacuated Messina in 1943.
She was raised in 1949 and towed to La Pezia in Italy for scrapping. (finally)
