This is right across the street from the Beaumont Hotel. The 1879 Beaumont Hotel began as a stagecoach stop serving travelers between Fredonia and Wichita. Today this unique little hotel has 3 suites, 8 rooms and two dining rooms - one of which is decorated as a 50's style diner. A couple blocks away is a 2,600 foot grass strip where planes, after landing, taxi right down Main Street to parking in front of the hotel. The parking lot for the planes is on the other side of the tree and water tower in my image. There were no planes visiting during the time Neil and I drove through, but I did get this image of the plane and parking area when I was there in 2016: https://pbase.com/dlgphoto/image/163198140
