After the Storm

Last night's nor'easter effectively stripped the leaves from many of the trees around here.

The sugar maple behind the barn that was so vibrant yesterday is now in winter plumage.

It's always disappointing but seems so often to happen. Just when fall looks it's best a storm comes along and blows all the color away prematurely. But you have had a very good run of photos up to now. And this one has a very moody feel. A precursor to what is coming next.
