While setting up to take a few shots of Red-winged Blackbirds perched on cattails, a Merlin came in at full speed just inches above the cattails. The blackbirds exploded in all directions - I don't think the Merlin saw me, because he nearly knocked my ballcap off!
This was one of several shots I did get off before the Merlin arrived.
