An antique Tibetan tsakli painting, 19th Century or earlier, depicts within green mandorla and amidst a burst of smoke-darkened roiling flames a manifestation of Zhambala, (Jahambala) God of Wealth riding a caparisoned white horse. He is wearing an elaborate golden crown, heavy armour over his richly patterned robe, boots with his celestial scarves flying about him. He holds his identifying attributes, the jewel spitting mongoose and a golden treasure casket (bhumpa) in his hands. A single line of text to the reverse. 6.7 x 8.3cm
