An antique 19th Century tsakli painting in mineral pigments depicting within a great burst of roiling flames, a blue bodied, wrathful deity holding a visvavajra (crossed or double dorje) in his right hand, his left in tarjani mudra. The visvavajra represents the principle of absolute stability and the indestructible reality of the Buddha's vajra mind as the unshakeable throne of enlightenment. The big-bellied deity wears a 3 pointed skull diadem to hold back his yellow hair, copious gold bodhisattva jewellery and a tiger skin dhoti. 9.5 x 11.5cm
